Je zdrojem b\u00edlkovin, \u017eeleza a vitam\u00ednu B. Nejvhodn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed je libov\u00e9 hov\u011bz\u00ed, telec\u00ed, dr\u016fbe\u017e\u00ed, libov\u00e9 vep\u0159ov\u00e9 a jehn\u011b\u010d\u00ed. D\u011bti podle pr\u016fzkumu dost\u00e1vaj\u00ed nej\u010dast\u011bji ku\u0159ec\u00ed maso, kter\u00e9 m\u00e1 t\u0159ikr\u00e1t m\u00e9n\u011b \u017eeleza ne\u017e \u010derven\u00e9 vep\u0159ov\u00e9 a hov\u011bz\u00ed, toho dost\u00e1vaj\u00ed d\u011bti obecn\u011b velmi m\u00e1lo. &#8222;Rodi\u010de by m\u011bli do j\u00eddeln\u00ed\u010dku za\u0159azovat mnohem \u010dast\u011bji hov\u011bz\u00ed maso.
